New Exam Prep Guides for PMP® PgMP® Certification and BA Glossary Reference Tools Available for PM & BA Professionals
Arlington, VA - February 15, 2010
To meet the diverse and critical learning needs of project and program managers and business analysts, three new reference tools have been released by ESI International. Now available are the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam preparation audio CD set, an updated Program Management Professional(PgMP®) exam practice test and study guide and a new glossary of business analysis terms.
Project managers will find the listener-friendly CD format of The Portable PMP® Exam Prep:Conversations on Passing the PMP® Exam (US$109.95) by J. LeRoy Ward, PMP, PgMP, Executive Vice President, ESI International and Carl L. Pritchard, PMP, an indispensible tool in preparing for the PMP® exam. It has been updated to reflect A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge–Fourth Edition (PMBOK® Guide). The set of nine CDs addresses the nine areas of the PMBOK® Guide, as well as professional and social responsibility. The set contains two 25-minute sessions for each knowledge area, plus a bonus session with test-taking tips. Ward and Pritchard’s straightforward approach will help project professionals understand what’s important and what’s not to help pass the PMP® exam.
PgMP® Exam Practice Test and Study Guide, 2nd Ed. (US$44.95), also by Ward, has been updated based on revisions to Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Standard for Program Management. Updates include new and revised terminology, themes incorporated into the performance domains and restructured questions that are now less definition-based and more scenario-based. The book also features practical study hints, a list of major topics covered on the exam, 20 multiple-choice practice questions for each domain, a comprehensive answer key and a bibliographic reference for further study. The two challenging, 170-question practice tests — also delivered via CD to provide a real simulation of the PMI® exam — provide an insider's look at the questions, phrases, terminology and sentence construction program managers will encounter on the real exam.
Business Analysis Terms: A Working Glossary, First Edition (US$29.95) by Glenn R. Brûlé is an indispensable resource for business analysts whose discipline demands clear, unambiguous communication among their teams. This convenient reference will help establish a common business analysis language that conveys universally understood meaning and context. It contains more than 1,600 definitions, phrases and acronyms used in day-to-day business analysis that are essential to today’s business analyst and requirements management and development professionals.
“The continuing maturity of project management disciplines demands that professionals keep up and evolve with it,” said Ward. “Given the tremendous knowledge requirements of project and program managers and business analysts, these three new publications provide comprehensive learning tools to help each achieve their professional goals.”
