ESI’s Proposal Accepted As Sole Provider of CON 215 and CON 218 Training
Arlington, VA – October 03, 2008
ESI International has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) as the sole provider of Competency Based Contracting Certification training of CON 215 and CON 218 for Level II FAC-C certification for FY 2009. The contract award is worth US$1.4 million with a contract option for an additional year at US$1.4 million. ESI is already a training provider to FAI of FAC-C Level I training for CON 100 and CON 120 courses, as well as, Performance Based Acquisition training programs.
The training programs are the newest addition to ESI’s existing Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC) training courses for FAC in Contracting. ESI is recognized by both the FAI and the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) as a qualified training provider. ESI assists federal government agencies in determining skill gaps, developing appropriate Individual Development Plans (IDP) and delivering best-in-class training.
“This contract award is primarily a result of ESI’s proven track record in supporting large-scale training programs for FAI and other government agencies,” said Bill Damaré, Regional Vice President, ESI. “ESI training instructors consistently achieve high evaluation ratings from program attendees, and we are uniquely qualified to manage the logistics of a nationwide course rollout.”
The new eight-day CON 215 and two-week CON 218 training programs will be conducted in 10 U.S. cities, including Washington, Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia and Atlanta. More than 950 federal contracting employees are expected to take the courses.
The FAC Program requirements were released by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) in 2006. Since that time, ESI has provided training to nearly 2,500 federal contracting employees to help them earn their FAC certifications.
